Briefing Note – February 2018
This Briefing Note reviews developments in the Israeli military detention system for children and covers the period up to February 2018. This Note includes:
- the latest detention figures from the Israeli Prison Service;
- analysis of recent evidence relating to the arrest, transfer and interrogation of children;
- evidence relating to the provision of legal rights;
- information on the transfer and detention of children outside the West Bank;
- two systems of law applied in the West Bank based on national identity;
- and an assessment of the implementation of UNICEF’s recommendations.
